Erdling makes single-use sustainable and sustainability affordable for all.
Plastic is an amazing invention. It is durable and versatile, but once disposed of, these properties transform from assets to an environmental challenge. In terms of single-use consumption, the US occupies the second spot globally, and a significant portion of this single-use finds its way onto our streets, into our forests, and onto our beaches.
There are plastic products that claim to be good for the environment, but many of them are not really as eco-friendly as they say. This is called "greenwashing." So, we really need products that are truly sustainable and can break down naturally, because the current offerings aren't working.
Our first product to market.
Erdling creates real sustainable products that have the same look, feel and functionality as generic plastic products people are familiar with. However, unlike regular plastic, Erdling's products will biodegrade in 2-12 months when disposed of in a compost environment. Erdling aims to make sustainable living easy and accessible, without requiring people to make big changes or spend a lot of money. Our products prove that living sustainably does not have to mean purchasing expensive eco-friendly products.
How to...
Use it like the cling wrap you know, and after you don't need it anymore, throw it into your home compost or compost bin. From there, it will start breaking down and will fall apart into CO2 and water, enriching the soil to help grow new plants.
