Beads, Charms & More

05. Toy Design

3D printed custom jewelry. Let out your inner child!

This project explores small-scale 3D printing as a fast, playful way to create custom charms, beads, and modular pieces for DIY bracelets. I developed a series of designs aimed at children, teens, and young adults - each element engineered to be lightweight, durable, and easy to assemble.

From Sketch to Final Print.

The focus was on turning simple ideas into tangible pieces that invite personalization. The work spans quick-swap shapes, themed sets, and color-ready forms optimized for efficient printing and smooth finishing.

The result is a flexible collection that blends design, accessibility, and hands-on creativity - perfect for workshops, gift kits, or small-batch production.

Production Approach

The models were produced through a streamlined 3D-printing workflow built around speed, precision, and material flexibility. Most multicolor and detail-heavy pieces were printed on the Creality K2 Pro and K2 Plus, which allowed clean transitions and consistent surface quality. For models requiring fewer color or filament changes, the Bambu P1S Carbon handled fast turnaround runs and small-batch production.

A wide range of materials - PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, and TPU - was used to match each model’s functional needs, from rigid structural parts to flexible components. Selected pieces were finished using acetone vapor smoothing, creating polished surfaces that mimic injection-molded products and elevate the final look far beyond typical FDM prints.
